I Want To Help! What Can I Do?
Great! We need your creative time and energy to be successful! Help our community thrive by lending a hand with this great project. Please send us an email at info@bitterrootbarter.com if you want to volunteer.
- Project Promoter - help “spread the word” to local individuals & businesses, encourage new folks to participate in the directory. Remember to tell them to say you referred them!
- Currency Crew - help cut, print, number, mark, and sort Bitterroot hOURs currency.
- Directory Doer - update directory listings at print time (May & November), print, staple, distribute, etc.
- Member Minder - maintain up-to-date list of members, check on folks periodically to encourage trading.
- Potlucker - help get our potluck meetings situated, contact folks to encourage attendance.
- Listing Assisting - help folks write and edit their listings.
- Flyer Folks - Post flyers around your town.
- Raffle Runner - organize the raffle fundraiser - get tickets, hold items for raffle, etc.
- Farmers Marketeer - Man the Hamilton Farmers Market booth for a few hours on Saturday.
- Disburser - Disburse the directory in your storefront and/or offer currency exchange.
- Contributor - Donate cash, printing, printing materials, stamps, or items for raffle prizes.
- City Committee - Represent your town by organizing meetings, fundraisers, info booths, post flyers, directory distribution and business participation to connect our towns throughout the Bitterroot.
You may use your hours to earn hOURs (1/2 hOUR for each hour volunteered) or you may volunteer your time without collecting hOURs. The more support we have the more this project will thrive!
